Castle Rock Senior Citizens
Welcome to Castle Rock Senior Citizens! We are dedicated to provide a safe activities and a fun social venue for our senior community. This is a place where seniors can find a variety of activities to socialize in with other seniors.
Activities for Seniors
At Castle Rock Senior Citizens, we offer a range of activities for seniors. From fitness classes and hobby groups such as quilting, craftings, and writing; to volunteer opportunities for fund raisers like our Rummage and Bake sales, and our community Baked Potato sales.


Quilting and Craft Groups
We have Quilting Group on Thursdays 9am to 2pm. Craft Group meets on Tuesdays, 9am-12 noon. Quilters have a fund raising raffle every year. Our latest fund raiser quilt is above.

Write Your Life
We have a Writers Group that the members write about and share their life experiences. They meet at 12:30 pm First and Third Tuesdays each month.

Pool
Pool is open on MWF from 9am-Noon

Puzzle Group
We have many on site puzzles to assemble in our senior center, or borrow to take home.
Yoga and Exercise Groups
We have Yoga and Exercise Group, MWF. Yoga is from 8:15 am-9:15am. The Exercise group is from 9:30am to 10:30 am.
Other Activities
Castle Rock Senior Citizens is committed to helping seniors lead fulfilling lives. Participating socially with other seniors at the center, can make a positive impact on your well-being. Volunteering opportunities gives seniors something meaningful to do for their senior center and their community.
Wednesday Lunches
Enjoy delicious and nutritious meals at the senior center on Wednesdays. Seniors gather and socialize while eating good nutritious food. Check out our Newsletter and Facebook for the monthly menu. We have a Health Department approved kitchen. Also seniors can bring their own food to share during our Wednesday lunches.

Baked Potatoe Day
Volunteers are organized to produce yummy baked potatoes to sell the the community twice a year, as a fund raiser. Baked Potatoe Day baked potatoes are purchased by the local businesses, schools, and delivered by our senior volunteers and people can come in and buy one and eat their baked potatoe at the senior center that day.
Rummage and Bake Sale
We take donations for our Spring and Fall Rummage and Bake sale, as a fund raiser for the senior center, then sell the items at the senior center. We take most items except clothing and prohibited health department items. Rummage and Bake Sales are on Saturdays. Quilt Raffle tickets also sold those days.
Bridge The Generations
Our Spanning/Bridging the Generations Program has been going on, and in short time will finish our 20th year as host of some Castle Rock High School kids. They come and share lunch with our seniors. it is good to hear of their Dreams and Hopes for their future and it gives us a chance to share the past with them over a warm meal.
We also give a few of the Senior Students an opportunity to put in for a $500 scholarship to help them achieve their goals.

Bingo and Pinochle
We have Bingo on Saturdays at 11:30 am. Summer, June through August, Bingo is closed.
Pinochle on Thursday Nights at 4:30 pm.

Volunteer Opportunities
Be a volunteer at the Senior Center! We have many posititions weekly for people to help with the various activities, hosting an event for a member, our fund raisers, and hosting during the week during open hours, that include making coffee for the members coming in that day, and clean up.
Puzzles and Library
Visit our shared puzzles that can be a social activity M-F 9am-1pm where seniors can put the puzzles together. Seniors can also borrow puzzles and books from our library. Seniors and the community can donate puzzles and books as well for our library.
Free WiFi
Our senior center provides seniors with access to the Internet. Seniors that need computer help can ask for an appointment, or if that person is on site that day, they also can get help.
Senior Center Membership
Senior Center Yearly Membership is suggested donation of $12 a year.
